Michael Howard

Michael Howard became leader of the Conservative Party last year. He went to Llanelli Grammar School and Peterhouse, Cambridge, before being called to the Bar. He has been MP for Folkestone and Hythe since 1983 and served in previous Conservative administrations as Secretary of State for the Environment and for Employment and was Home Secretary from 1993 to 1997. Among his recreations he lists watching football (Swansea and Liverpool) and baseball (the New York Mets).
